Encouraging students to pursue the fullness of Christ

Jubilee 2020 | February 21-23 | Everything Matters

The Jubilee Conference is about living faithfully in every area of life.  For over 40 years, we’ve invited over 70,000 college students to Pittsburgh to talk, learn, think, and dream about the public implications of their personal transformation. Jubilee is a conference like you’ve never experienced before. Whether you’re interested in engineering and science or art and music, law and politics or medicine and mission, justice and families or college life and the years to come, Jubilee will have someone speaking about what it means to be involved in those places faithfully. It’s a gathering of thousands of college students learning how to worship God with their whole lives. Jubilee 2020 will feature some 50+ speakers; so, keep checking back because we’ll constantly be adding more to the site in the weeks and months leading up to the conference.
The Jubilee Conference is part of the mission of the Coalition for Christian Outreach. The CCO calls college students to serve Jesus Christ with their entire lives.

We invite you to join us for a wonderful evening of celebration on the 50th anniversary of ministry at Clarion University. Our Fall Harvest Celebration Banquet is being held on Saturday November 4, 2017 at Zion Church in Reidsburg, PA. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Banquet begins at 6:00 PM.

Koinonia reaches out to the mission field of Clarion University to share the transforming power of Christ with the Clarion University community, to establish students in a maturing faith in Christ, to equip students to embrace a lifestyle of servant leadership and to send out students who model the life changing love of Christ, impacting the church, community and world.

Please invite your family, friends, employees and co-workers to hear firsthand the impact this ministry has made and is making to Clarion University students. During the banquet, a Koinonia alumnus, our campus missionary and students will share about their ministry experience.

Come and enjoy a delicious complimentary meal and hear how you can invest in the lives and future of the students on Clarion University campus.

P.S. Please RSVP at [email protected] by October 28, 2017

Our Students in Transformative Summer Opportunities

Picture
Please pray for Kellie as she embarks on a 5 week intensive leadership and discipleship program in the Wind River Mountain Range of Wyoming. There the participants will be challenged to grow in their intimacy with God, embrace their identity as an image-bearer of the Creator and a leader in His Kingdom, and grow in these character areas: servanthood, knowing, community, Christ-likeness, and spiritual disciplines.

Picture
Please pray for Amber, Tonya, Luke, Steve and John as they minister to youth and children at the Seneca Hills Bible Camp this summer. Summer camp program provides youth ages 5-18 an opportunity for daily devotions, bible study, exposure to Biblical preaching, and interaction with missionaries and bible study teachers as well as our capable and caring summer counseling staff.

Please pray for Josh and Katie as they participate the Ocean City Beach Project. OCBP maintains a priority in the areas of leadership, evangelism, Bible study training, discipleship, local church commitment and community living.

Please pray for Hannah as she ministers to at-risk kids at Promise Camp. A close counselor-to-camper ratio ensures that our campers will get the individualized attention they need and crave. The highly relational program ministers to “survivors” of the next generation, unlike many camp programs that cater to the “achievers”. The hope Jesus Christ offers is presented in a winsome way, and many children find Christ each summer at camp. Activities at camp instill self-confidence and help our campers develop team-building and relational skills.
Please pray for Jordan as she ministers to students from the inter city of Memphis. MTR Camp is a paid summer internship for college students interested in urban education. The program is designed to provide academic enrichment within a summer camp experience for students who attend an MTR partner school, while exposing Interns to urban education in Memphis and the residency program. Additionally, Interns will live in intentional community, explore Memphis and receive training in effective instructional techniques.

Please pray for all our students as they return home to minister in their home churches and community.

JUBILEE 2016

Flow the Life Of the World

Come join our large group Bible Study @ 8:30 PM in room 152 of the Gemmell Student Complex. For the next 7 weeks we will be studying Letters to the Exiles. This seven-part film series will help you, your friends, church or organization investigate God’s Economy of All Things – OIKONOMIA (a Greek word that has a lot to say about God’s plan for his creation, the world, and us.)

For the Life of the World is an entertaining film series that explores the deeper meaning of Salvation. Have you ever wondered, “What is my Salvation actually FOR?” Is it only about personal atonement, about getting to heaven, or something that comes later? Is it just to have a “friend in Jesus?”Explore how God’s purposes are woven into every area of our lives: family, work, art, charity, education, government, recreation and all creation! The Bible calls us Strangers and Pilgrims, living in "the now and not yet" of God’s Kingdom Come on earth. We are also called to be salt and light, to have a transforming presence among our neighbors. Rediscover the role of the church and how our lives lived on earth matter in God’s plan for the world.

Banquet Keynote Speaker

"God's Provision"

" 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. 18 I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. 19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen."   Philippians 4:17-20 (ESV)

Genesis

Genesis is the book of beginnings. The word means "origins" or "beginnings." It sets the stage for the rest of the Bible, telling us God's plan for his creation. Genesis reveals the nature of God as Creator and Redeemer; the value of a human life - created in God's image and for his purpose; the terrible consequences of disobedience and sin - separating man from God; and the wonderful promise of salvation and forgiveness through the coming Messiah.

Join us Sunday evenings @ 6:00 PM for a study of Genesis
in Level A of the Carlson Library.
